Nina
Cassian is a poet of sensual, unflinching, and visionary
statements on the human condition. She was a journalist and
film critic, and translator. Exiled from Romania in 1985,
she now lives in New York City.
Although
Ms Cassian has had fifty books published since the 1940s,
this marks the first time a book of her poems has appeared
in a hand-crafted, limited edition.
This
book features nineteen poems and four drawings by the author.
